There is the old saying, ‘if you always do what you’ve always did then you’ll always get what you’ve always got.  You have to plant seeds that one day will grow to a harvest.  Most expect life to be an endless well of riches that will never dry up.  We all have obstacles to overcome no matter your financial status in life.  Part of planting a seed means that you have to wait and learn how to “go without” for a season and hopefully one day you will develop more of a reliance on God and not take for granted all the blessings you have.  Are you confused?  Hopefully this will clarify things. You see something miraculous happens to us when we reach out and begin to sow seeds into someone else’s life.  When we just receive from others without giving back, we become robbed of our happiness and joy in our own lives. You don’t have to believe me just try it for yourself.  Sometimes helping others may be exactly what we need to feel rich.  Who knows one day that person that you help may one day become financially wealthy and give back to you.  I personally experienced this for myself.  I can tell you it works.  Now, when you plant a seed, don’t plant just to receive only but give joyfully and you will get used to giving and it become second nature then.  See giving shows and teaches you that there is more where that came from.  But how does sowing a seed really work?  You do not have to always do something for someone else or give them a tangible gift? No, there are so many other ways we can give and sow seeds.  This is a richness you can always feel good about, knowing you made a different in someone else’s life.
